License activation

WebSynaptics requires that you activate your software to verify that your installation is done with a genuine WebSynaptics product and that your license is valid. Activation is completely anonymous; no personal information is required nor will any personal information be sent to WebSynaptics.

Privacy statement

During activation, the software ID and a non-unique hardware identification are sent to WebSynaptics.
The software ID is generated from the product name and a generic code representing the edition of the product.
The non-unique hardware identification represents the configuration of your PC at the time of activation. The hardware identification does not include any personally identifiable information about you, any information about other software or data that may reside on your PC, or any information about the specific make or model of your PC. The hardware identification identifies only the PC and is used solely for the purpose of activation. The software can detect and accept changes to your PC configuration. Minor upgrades will not require re-activation. If you completely overhaul your PC, you may be required to activate your software again.

None of the information collected will be used to personally identify you and none of this information is shared with partners outside WebSynaptics. This information is used strictly for the purposes of validating the license for your software.
