These three typical configurations has been developed and tested with a "classic" ADSL internet connection  (8MB/s peak flow). A faster connection improves performance only in the case of the recommended configuration.

Minimal configuration

This configuration is the minimum requirements for InstantWalker. If your PC does not meets these requirements, do not install InstantWalker, it will not run in accordance with what you expect and we do not currently support it in this case.
  • 1GHz CPU 32-bit (x86) 
  • 60 MB of available memory for application 
  • 20 MB of hard disk to install the application 
  • 40 MB free space on hard drive 
  • resolution of 1024 x 768
This configuration allows for up to 15 threads, whatever the size of the explored sites but with a limited amount of simple complexity regular expressions.

Standard configuration

This is the hardware configuration that allows you to operate normaly InstantWalker with correct response times.
  • 1GHz dual core CPU 32-bit (x86) 
  • 200 MB of available memory for application 
  • 20 MB of hard disk to install the application 
  • 100 MB free space on hard drive 
  • resolution of 1024 x 768
This configuration allows for up to 20 threads, whatever the size of the investigated sites and the amount of regular expressions.

Recommended configuration

This is the hardware configuration that allows you to use InstantWalker thoroughly with efficient response times.
  • 2GHz dual core processor 32-bit (x86) 
  • 512 MB of available memory for application 
  • 20 MB of hard disk to install the application 
  • 1 GB free space on hard drive 
  • 1280 x 1024 resolution
This configuration makes it possible to launch at least 25 threads, whatever the size of the investigated sites and the amount of regular expressions, even with great complexity.
